Adventure with GALS ...

One of the many famous quotes: "We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us!"  GALS is designed for the added-value of developing travel friendships around the world.  It is our desire that you'll explore the world of adventure with us.

TAMMY BAILEY

TAMMY BAILEY

Tammy was born right here in Billings Mt but has lived in Powell and Laramie Wyoming.  She has knocked several countries off her live it list with the Gals Going Global and is excited to keep traveling with them. One of her favorite trips was to Iceland where she got to experience the Northern lights for the first time. Tammy has 4 grandkids that keep her busy and she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, and snowmobiling.

TAMMY BAILEY

Beth Morrow is our Gals Going Global Chair.  She was born and raised in Colorado, but after 33 years of living in Billings, she calls this her home.  Her daughter, Jean, is a joy along with her two grandchildren, Jack and Jasmine.  She has traveled since childhood with her parents, traveled with her husband many places, and now enjoys travel with GALS.  Her favorite trips have been Kenya, Thailand and Cambodia, Peru, India, and too many to mention.  Beth loves this organization and is proud to serve on your board of directors.

Julie Brinck

Julie grew up in northern Illinois but moved to Montana to attend the U of M in 1965.  She married a Helena boy and stayed.  She spent her working years as a nurse, retiring in 2002.  Now she spends her playing years traveling, reading, quilting and trying to teach her grandkids all the things she thinks they should know.

Rae Chaney

JEAN GROCHOLSKI

Rae Chaney, will tell you she isn't precocious, yet has enough sass to travel with incredible story telling abilities and may just drag you into singing a song at trips' end. Rae serves as the organization's secretary.

JEAN GROCHOLSKI

Who is Jean Grocholski?

She is a farm girl from Oregon.  Her dream was always to see “the world”.  She started with serving in the Peace Corps in Tonga in the South Pacific as a teacher.  She went on to become a social worker for several years in the state of Washington before moving to Billings with her family in 1978.

Earning a 2nd college degree led her to become a CPA for several more years.  After retiring in 2011, babysitting her grandson and travelling are her biggest priorities.  She went on her first trip to Costa Rica with Global Grannies in 2013.  Many trips later she enjoys travel--meeting new friends, experiencing new cultures, and seeing new places.

She calls Roberts her home living on 30 acres in a log home on Rock Creek which is home to her 2 horses, 3 cats, moose, deer and turkeys.  Linda loves to garden and canning keeps her busy late summer but loves the WORLD Before Her!

CINDY CORNELLi

Cindy was born in southern California where her daughter, niece and nephew continue to live.   The desire to travel was introduced at a young age by her grandmother.  Cindy loved her 44 year career as a medical social worker.

In addition to traveling, Cindy's passions involve time with family and friends, learning all cultures, reading, hiking and volunteering with her church, homeowners association and now with GALS. It is a good thing she retired in 2021 in order to enjoy all of these things!

bev silkwood

Bev Silkwood is a retired teacher, avid reader, and lifelong learner. Her adventures have primarily centered around white-water river trips, backpacking, and cross-country skiing. Her first venture with Gals Going Global was an incredible trip to Kenya. The country, the people, and their cultures were fascinating, but equally enjoyable was meeting and making lasting friendships with the eight other Gals on the trip. She is anticipating more travel adventures and loves the variety of trips offered.
